Dear All,

We are also running some adult courses and these are outlined on the attached flier.

Explorers

1. Yes Please for Module A training (the compulsory unit of Young Leader) at Penistone Scout HQ on 8 May at 19:45hrs. Please advise of hut location & any paperwork etc required. Not sure if I can make it as Thursdays are swimming with my own offspring.

2. BMBC will shortly be making available some cash for youth groups to keep the kids off the streets during the summer holidays. Would Central, Pennine & Fitzwilliam care to get together for a joint finance bid to take the Explorers on a cultural visit to London? Thoughts are; train or coach to London, visit some places of worship (st Pauls etc) and a cultural show (billy Elliot) on the evening. We could have an overnight stay in YHA or Baden Powel House and day 2 some more visits etc. We need a meet ASAP to get our plans together, I'm happy to host @ Hoyland but please advise of which evenings you're available unavailable.

3. 13 September 2008 Fitzwilliam are hosting an Explorer challenge. Would Central or Pennine be interested in participating? Teams of four 13½ to 18½ year olds @£20 per team are eligible. Anyone interested?

When on crew explorers would be putting them selves into difficult
situations with Scouts, Cubs or Beavers on site.

I don't know how many we will get but you may wish to join us with some of
